Miao Embroidered Cushion With Tassels

This beautiful cushion is made from a vintage embroidery from the Miao ethnic minority. The embroidery is in black cotton which stands out beautifully from the cotton ground which is coloured brown in a natural dye. I've backed the cushion with a handloomed fabric in a pale brown and natural stripe and added tassels. There is a zip fastener and feather pad. It's a really lovely cushion and has a real organic look to it.
